HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WATCH |

If you ever have questions in regards to caring for your watch, please do not hesitate to contact us. Here are some important tips for taking care of your watch and increasing enjoyability: - We recommend to read your manual. On a Rolex and most Swiss movements, we recommend that you wind your watch once a month by gently unscrewing the crown. You'll find that most crowns will slightly spring out from the watch case. A Rolex and other fine Swiss movements are designed to be worn everyday to propel the watch's ability to self-wind but if this is not the case and your watch has stopped keeping time because of sporadic wear, wind your watch as just described as often as needed. Watch Chest recommends approximately 20 rotations of the crown when winding is needed.
- Make sure the crown is always screwed/pushed in against the case tightly.
- Do not wear any other jewelry on your wrist with your watch to prevent scratching and damage.
- To remove minor fingerprints... use a soft polishing cloth. To have your watch professionally polished, please visit Watch Chest's Service Center page for more information.
- When you are not wearing your watch, place a polishing cloth on a flat surface and lay the watch on its side. Place your watch in a cool, dry, and safe place.
- If needed, use a soft sponge with mild soap and water for cleaning the bracelet. Before cleaning, make sure your crown is screwed and pushed in properly and tightly against the case. To dry, use a soft towel and then let air dry.
- Always have your serial number, model number, and appraised value reported to your home owner's insurance company.
- We suggest that watches be cleaned, oiled, and serviced every three to five years to ensure that the components are properly lubricated and that the mechanism is free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Routine maintenance and care is the key to a watch's longevity. To view Watch Chest's service options, please click here.
